本品能有效螯合水中的钙、镁等离子，迅速将硬水软化，从而能够提高洗衣粉清洁能力，减少洗衣粉的用量，节约成本。并能有效防止织物因为硬水而出现的黄色沉积，在硬水地区的洗衣房有广泛的用途。在主洗时首先加入即可，用量1-2%。
